Section 14 · Components
Tabs.
Two flavours. Section tabs for the probe editor (Headers / Body / Auth / Tests). Surface tabs for switching open documents (Postman-style).
Section tabs
Body editor would render here.
- Underline indicator only. No filled background, no rounded "pill" tabs.
- Count badges (the "3" beside Headers) when a section has populated content.
- Active tab: fg + 600 weight + neon underline. Inactive: fg-mute + 500.
Surface tabs
HTTPlogin.probe×
IMAPverify-mail.probe×
● signup-flow.chain×
- Active tab: bg-canvas (lighter) — visually "in front" of bg-2 strip.
- Each tab shows its protocol tag · filename · close ×.
- The leading dot ("● signup-flow.chain") indicates unsaved changes. Replaces the × until you save.
- Right-click a tab: close · close others · close to the right · pin.
Don't
- Don't use both flavours in one panel. Pick one.
- Don't allow more than ~7 surface tabs. Beyond that, scroll horizontally — never wrap to a second row.
- Don't put icons before section-tab labels. The text is the affordance. Decoration is noise.
